Rain or shine folks!

Hey Folks!

I know the weather  today is not the prettiest you’ve ever seen, but we are still going to be running wods… they will be inside the toasty, bacon-smelling walls of my house though!  So as rule 76 states, “no excuses, play like a champion”.

Even if a panda comes and starts repping out clean and jerks with your bar, you still need to come and wod with us.  Sorry, I don’t make the rules… Well… I guess I do.  That panda has some killer form too.

“It has begun!”

This might reveal how big a geek I am, but I might be ok if instead of 3, 2, 1, go at the beginning of WODs Shang-tsung from Mortal Kombat started them off with his awesome, “it has begun!”……… something like that.

Anyway… CrossFit Suds first OnRamp started yesterday and went amazingly!  So stoked to have all you athletes come out and flex some serious skills.  From Drew crushing the workout in just over 2 minutes to some folks who were, “very out oh shape” busting out legit push-ups and textbook perfect squats!  I’m impressed and very excited about what lays ahead for everyone!

I’m working on an online scheduling program for November when we have the gym so that folks will be able to sign up online and all the emails and phone calls back and forth will be less confusing.  I will keep y’all updated in regards to how that’s working.  Slated to be “live” towards the end of next week… probably over the weekend.

November will start out our regular “CrossFit” classes, as well as OnRamp classes.  Depending on demand there will probably be a couple hours in the AM, lunch and PM for class and onramp times.  Once we get settled in I’ve got some BIG plans for this gym.  Trust me… it’s going to be the best place in Sudbury to make yourself better.

p.s. Last I heard tomorrow is supposed to be sun and cloud – if it’s bearable, we’ll be outside!  If not, we’ll head over to my house to hit the wods.  Cheers folks!

CrossFit Sudbury’s Inaugural OnRamp!

Hey Folks!

So I’m done waiting.  We have enough of the equipment to run some wods and the foundational movements of CrossFit are ready to be taught here in Sudbury.  So… We’re running an OnRamp starting Wednesday October 19th and running Monday-Wednesday-Friday for 6 sessions, which is when we get the building (although outdoor wods may continue for a week or so after that while we renovate the building).


Who:  You, 4 other friends/friends-to-be and Myself!

What:  CrossFit!  warm up, skill work, workout and cool down/homework.

When:  3 different times  – 6:30am-7:30am, 12-1pm and 6-7pm

Where:  Most will be done at Queens Athletic field (Elm and Regent)

Why:  Because you care about your health and fitness and want to have fun while you improve!

How:  Cost is $40 for the 6 sessions.  The potential 15 people who sign up for this early OnRamp will be offered a discount on their future membership.

Online Scheduling… Outdoor WODS and OnRamp

Hey Folks!

So I’ve just hooked up with an online scheduling company and they weren’t lying when they said it’d take a couple weeks to figure out how to use their software.  I’m antsy as heck to get the gym started and I really just want to start training folks – but I wont’ have the gym until Nov. 1st it’s looking like (depends when the current tenant moves all their stuff out of the building).

In the meantime… myself and a few regulars have been doing WODs at either my house, or Queens Athletic Field.  I’m playing with the idea of running some classes early morning, lunch hour and/or early evening.  Class sizes would be limited, as while I have some equipment, I’m still waiting on more.  I’d love to get some classes started and I know folks can learn a lot of the foundational movements before we load them up with barbells and bumpers.  Strength acquisition will just have to wait a month!

In saying that, Please either use the contact form, comment here or email me and I’ll get in touch with you to set up a time and place to run the WODs.  There will be limited space, so please let me know soon.  I’ll also be contacting all the folks who’ve provided me with their email shortly, and will be giving them priority (gotta encourage the brave!)

So… An Inaugural OnRamp class for CrossFit Sudbury will begin!  Starts next Wednesday the 19th (so long as the demand is there) and will run M-W-F (roughly… details will be ironed out still…).  This class is for everyone, and will deliver a stellar workout regardless of what level of fitness you’re at.  That being said, I will be trying to group people by experience with the CrossFit movements.  So when you contact me, please let me know your relative experience so that I can place you in the most appropriately programmed track!

Next Wednesday and Friday will be free samples – after that the rest of October will be affordable, but not free.
