Boom – another month has passed us by, but that means we get to feature another one of our amazing members – Yesssssss!  This month we’re featuring someone who has been putting in the work, the time and the effort with a little extra focus.  They took what most of us would leave as an “inconvenient time” to focus on our diet and performance, which just speaks so much towards this persons determination and character.  This September, we’re featuring…

Teddy!

Here are her answers to our questions 🙂 

Name: Teddy Atchison

Age: 32

Occupation: Training Coordinator/ Full time mom 😊

What was your exercise experience prior toCrossFit?
I was in wrestling throughout high school. I tried various things, the gym, personal trainer for awhile and Boot camps. But I fell off the wagon after the birth of my 3rd child.

How long have you been at CrossFit Sudbury and why do you choose to CrossFit?
About 1.5 years. I gained a lot of weight in my last pregnancy, and decided I need to make a huge life style change. I always enjoyed lifting weights in the gym, butI never really knew what I was doing. When we moved to Sudbury, I creeped the CrossFit Sudbury page and decided to make the first step and join.

What is your favourite part about CrossFit Sudbury?
I love everything about our gym. The people, the atmosphere and the feeling of accomplishment after a hard workout. Throwing around a heavy barbell is fun too!

What are the accomplishments you are proud of? (CrossFit or non-CrossFit related)
I am most proud of taking that first step, and sticking with it. The past year I have really focused of my Nutrition and have lost 65lbs. My long-time goal has been to lose 80lbs, and I have never been able to achieve it. This year Is the Year!!

Favourite workout or lift?  Long Grinders and Shoulder Press
