Hey Folks!

It’s our favourite time! We get to feature another of our amazing members 🙂 This month you’ll recognize this person as someone who is quiet about their achievements and effort, but always quick to help out, or stir up some conversation. Always a pleasure to be around and train with, this person embodies the consistent, positive effort it takes to improve each and every month. For April 2019, we are excited to announce…

Mo!

Here are Mohameds answers to our questions! 🙂

Name:  Mohamed Bouhedda

Age: 27

Occupation: Full time pain in the ass! When I’m not doing that I’m an adjustments clerk at the CRA

What was your exercise experience prior to CrossFit?

I always lived an active life style form a very young age and exercise came very naturally to me. Throughout high school I joined as many sport teams as possible. Then after graduating high school I trained for boxing and really enjoyed that for about two years. I also play pickup soccer and tennis on the weekend.

How long have you been doing CrossFit and why do you choose to CrossFit?

I have been doing CrossFit for about a year and a half. Shortly after I got married my physical exercise slowed down. One day my wife joined CrossFit class and loved it, soon after she asked me to join and I haven’t looked back since! After my first class with coach Mandie I realized that this is what I have been looking for, a form of exercise that keeps you fit and challenges you physically, mentally and sometimes even emotionally. CrossFit has also shifted my perspective on my lifestyle and that’s including my diet, sleep, mental health and the way I preform in some of my daily activities.

What is your favourite part about CrossFit?

My favourite part would be the CrossFit family! Everyone is friendly and greets you with a smile. If I had a good day or a bad day I know that going to CrossFit Sudbury will make it a better day. It’s also nice to have a coach always helping you out with skilled movements and reaching your full potential

What are the accomplishments you are proud of? (CrossFit or non CrossFit related)

Before CrossFit I had no experience with lifting weights and many of the functional movements. Learning the movements from scratch and seeing how I’m slowly improving gets me excited every time and also proud of what I have accomplished.

Favourite workout or lift?

Deadlifting and cleaning for sure! But making it to the gym and doing the WOD is sometimes my favourite part of the day

Anything else you would like to share please feel free 🙂

I’m truly thankful and grateful to all the coaches and friends who have helped my along my journey, with your help I have reached many goals and have become a better person.
