CrossFitter of the Month – August Edition

We’ve decided to start awarding a hard-working, PR-chasing, smile-bearing member the “CrossFitter of the Month”! Why? To show how much we appreciate all your hard work, to reward that hard work, and to make sure everyone knows that while we measure results to gauge progress, all the other subtle aspects that make our gym the great place it is don’t go unnoticed.

This month, we couldn’t choose just one “CrossFitter of the Month”, so we decided to highlight two.………….. Christian & Tanaka!

Over the summer we had two football players, part of Coach Drew’s, “The Program”, exhibit a lot of determination and perseverance to get better at their sport. While sport specific training is still very important, a solid core of strength & conditioning is the keystone to squeezing every bit of performance out of an athlete as possible. The improvements these two athletes made over the summer with regards to speed, power and raw strength is a testament to the hard work they put in – We’re excited to hear how they do this season!

From Coach Drew, “These guys came into the gym with sub par form and technique and most of all lack of flexibility. I told them from the start that we would have to fix that if we wanted to maximize our work together. Most teenagers don’t want to put the hard work into getting better. When you come across the kids who are determined to get better, put in the hard work and see it all pay off, it’s really rewarding.  So for the time they put in, sacrificing a lot of their summer, and most of all listening to what their coach says, awards them the CrossFitter of the month.”
